Well, the twins are about six weeks old now, and we're starting to get into the rythm of "double" parenting. This month, Diego is working extra, as he was offered the chance to do his "old job" from before we went to Africa in place of some different people that went on vacation or sick leave. So he accepted, but of course he couldn't just drop delivering the papers at night because of that. So he's working double, leaving home at 3.30 a.m. to deliver the papers, returning around six, then after breakfast and a shower (and picking up whichever baby is awake to give it a kiss and a little chat!) he goes off to work in the mail room at DNV for a full day from 8 to 4.

Meanwhile, Mommy stays home and works almost round-the clock baby-duty. I get a few hours' sleep from about midnight to whenever Diego leaves for work in the night, but the rest of the day it's me and the kiddos. It's crazy, and its also very rewarding. I just love them... they're so wonderful. They also cry, eat, poop and wet their clothes and beds quite a lot, so it's not like I'm on holiday or anything...

Daniel is suffering from colic and cries a lot because of that, so those of you that pray, please remember him in your prayers. We'd really love for him not to have to experience that pain. And it taxes us too, especially when both babies are just crying uncontrollably, and there's only one set of arms to hold them...

Here are some new pics...  we just can't not show off our little treasures to the world...

This is what it looks like when both little angles are crying and unhappy...

Happy family (more pictures!)

Wow, being a twin mommy (and daddy!) really takes time! So even if we remember to click a few pictures here and there, finding time to download and edit them can be a challenge!

But we're so in love with our little babies that we can't not show pictures of them...  so here we go. A couple of the happy family, shot on my birthday a few days ago:

Daniel and Kristin finally came to join us on July 4th. We thank God for their good health and the wonderful care we received in the hospital. Here are some pictures of them...

Not very inspired lately

I haven't updated the blog a whole lot lately, so I figured it was time to say something. These last weeks I haven't been able to do much of anything at all, due to lack of energy and sleep. Between my baby girl and boy I have about 5 kilos (or 11 pounds) of baby to carry around in my belly now, and trust me, that's a lot! Since I don't go out of the house a lot I don't experience that many exciting things to write about in the blog either...

I do go for weekly ultrasound and prenatal check-ups at the hospital and they take good care of all of us, and everything seems to be fine with the babies. So Diego and I are rejoicing because of that, and hoping the time won't be too long before we get to meet them.  I'm almost 35 weeks pregnant now, and the doc just told me yesterday that if the birth starts now, they won't attempt to stop it.  Yeeyyyy....

But not everything is great. My aunt Gro who was diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor two years ago is very ill now, and in the hospital.  She lives about 3 hours away from Oslo, so I haven't seen her more than once since we came home, but I love her very much and the though of losing her is very saddening. Our consolation is that she has peace in Christ and when the time comes for her graduation to eternity, she'll go to be with Jesus and not have to be sick or in pain any more.

29 weeks...

Well, I'm officially in the third trimester now, and the babies keep growing. And so does the mommy....

The last month, I've had lots of fun looking over the cute little clothes people donated to our babies, as well as buying a few new items.  This was taken one afternoon after shopping. Now, to be honest, pretty much everything looks cute in newborn size, but this little onesie is just adorable. (click "read more" for picture)

25 weeks belly bump

Some people were asking me for belly pictures... I always forget to get the camera out to take them, but today I remembered - and used my web cam. This is me at 25 weeks with twins. Since I still have more than three months to go, I'm thinking I'll be twice or three times this huge by then, and I really can't imagine what that'll look like! What an experience!
